Privacy Policy
What we collect
Account information: name, email address, company name, phone number, and business registration details.
Transaction data: load postings, bids, bookings, payment amounts, and delivery confirmations.
Location data: current city when using the platform; GPS coordinates when actively tracking a shipment.
Device and usage data: browser type, IP address, pages visited, and time on platform.
How we use it
To operate the Koum platform and process transactions.
To match loads with carriers via the Matchmaker system.
To calculate trust scores via The Ledger.
To process payments through DPO Group.
To improve our intelligence systems including Sentinel, Oracle, and The Boomerang.
To send transactional notifications via Resend.
Contact privacy
Shipper and carrier contact details are never shared with the opposing party until payment is confirmed and held in escrow. This protection is enforced at the database level — not just policy.
Contact details including phone numbers and email addresses are revealed only after escrow is confirmed.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing legal@zaphenath.com. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
You may request a copy of your data in machine-readable format at any time.
Data location
Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Supabase EU region) and processed in East Africa. Koum complies with Rwanda's Data Protection Law of 2021 and applicable EAC data protection frameworks.
