Shipper Agreement
Agreement
By posting a load on Koum, shippers agree to the following terms. This agreement is binding from the moment a load is published on the platform.
1. Accurate cargo description
You warrant that all information in your load posting is accurate. Cargo type, weight in metric tonnes, hazardous materials status, and special handling requirements must be truthful.
Misrepresentation results in immediate account suspension. The carrier is entitled to compensation for costs incurred due to misrepresentation, deducted from your escrow.
2. Payment obligation
By accepting a bid, you commit to completing payment via DPO Group within 24 hours. Failure to pay within 24 hours of bid acceptance releases the carrier from their commitment and may result in your account suspension.
3. Availability at origin
You must ensure cargo is ready for collection on the stated pickup date. Carriers who arrive to find cargo unavailable are entitled to a cancellation fee of 10% of the agreed rate, deducted from any future escrow or account balance.
4. Delivery confirmation
You must confirm delivery within 24 hours of the carrier's arrival at the destination. Failure to confirm within 48 hours triggers automatic escrow release to the carrier.
Confirmation is completed through the booking detail page on Koum. No paper signatures are required for escrow release.
5. Dispute process
Disputes must be filed within 24 hours of the expected delivery date via the booking detail page. Late disputes may not qualify for escrow protection.
6. Contact sharing
Your contact details are shared with the carrier only after payment enters escrow. You agree to respond to carrier communications within 4 hours during business hours (07:00–20:00 EAT).
